So You're Into Yoga and Meditation...
But can you answer the Hard Questions?
How long have you been involved with yoga and/or meditation? A year, five
years, ten, twenty?
Do you follow any particular teaching, style, method or path? Or do you
just do whatever you like?
How would you characterize your level of practice? Beginner, intermediate,
advanced?
How would you characterize your involvement in the yoga/meditation community?
Are you a dilettante, a dabbler, a window-shopper who drifts from teacher to
teacher? Or are you serious about your discipline? Are you into the yoga lifestyle?
Have you ever taught?
When studying or reading about yoga, do you sometimes feel that the information
is incomplete, that secrets are being held back? Do you wonder what they might
be?
Are you aware of the original source literature of yoga and meditation?
Have you read it? In English translation or in the original language?
What is the aim or goal of yoga and meditation? Did you know that according
to the original source literature, the aim of yoga and meditation is to attain
a direct personal experience of God? Do you think that you would attain the
same result with a partial or altered teaching as by following the original
complete teachings?
Can you be absolutely sure that the teachings you have received
and practice are complete, and identical with the source literature?
Do you know that for over 200 years, colonial governments used disinformation
and psychological warfare techniques to deliberately distort public knowledge
of meditation and yoga? And that because of this disinformation, the information
that almost everyone in the West has about yoga and meditation is wildly inaccurate
and incomplete?
Have you ever heard of the Vedas?
Do you know that the Vedas are the most ancient original source
for yoga and meditation teachings in the world?
Do you know that the ancient Vedas used methods similar to modern
computer security techniques to prevent alteration and maintain the fidelity
of the original teachings?
Would you like to get much more benefit out of your yoga practice?
Are you looking for a higher-level teaching? Would you be interested in
learning about the original, unaltered teachings of the Vedas on yoga
and meditation?
